पूर्णागिरी मंदिर, समुद्र तल से 3000 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर, उत्तराखंड के टनकपुर से लगभग 14 से 15 किमी दूर है। मंदिर को शक्तिपीठ माना जाता है और यह 108 सिद्ध पीठों में से एक है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि इसी स्थान पर सती माता की नाभि गिरी थी। पूर्णागिरी को पुण्यगिरि के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। मंदिर शारदा नदी के पास स्थित है। पूर्णागिरी मंदिर अपने चमत्कारों के लिए भी खासा जाना जाता है।

शारदा नदी भारत और नेपाल का बॉर्डर है। क्योंकि शारदा नदी के उस पार नेपाल है ।

झूठे का मंदिर की कहानी

पूर्णागिरी मंदिर से लौटते समय झूठे का मंदिर की भी पूजा की जाती है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि एक व्यापारी ने मां पूर्णागिरी से वादा किया था कि अगर उसकी पुत्र की इच्छा पूरी हुई तो वह एक सोने की वेदी का निर्माण करेगा। उनकी इच्छा देवी ने प्रदान की थी। लालच आते ही व्यापारी पगला गया और उसने सोने की परत चढाने के साथ तांबे की एक वेदी बना डाली। ऐसा भी कहा जाता है कि जब मजदूर मंदिर को ले जा रहे थे तो उन्होंने कुछ देर आराम करने के लिए मंदिर को जमीन पद रख दिया। उन्होंने कितना मंदिर को उठाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन मंदिर उठ न सका। व्यापारी को मां द्वारा की जाने वाली ये वजह समझ आ गई और उसने मांफी मांगने के बाद वेदी के साथ मंदिर बनवा डाला।

मंदिर के आस पास की कुछ जगह

अवलाखान या हनुमान चट्टी इस मंदिर के पास स्थित है, जिसे 'बंस की चराई' पार करने के तुरंत बाद आसानी से जाया जा सकता है। यहां आप टनकपुर शहर और कुछ नेपाली गांवों को भी देख सकते हैं। इस मंदिर के पास ही बुराम देव मंडी स्थित है जो पर्यटकों के बीच भी काफी लोकप्रिय है।

कैसे पंहुचे और कहा रुके ।

यहां का निकटम रेलवे स्टेशन  तथा बस स्टैंड टनकपुर है ।

टनकपुर के लिए बस तथा ट्रेन दिल्ली बरेली लखनऊ आदि जगहों से मिलती है।

   रात में रुकने के लिए टनकपुर में ही ठीक रहता है क्योंकि मंदिर के करीब में रुकने  और खाने आदि के लिए कोई अच्छी सुविधा नहीं है । 

 मंदिर के पास जो प्रसाद आदि की दुकानें है वहा भी आपको रुकने स्नान आदि की सुविधा मिल जाती है ।

Do’s

• Allow the UPI app to read your SMS, Contacts and Call history for the UPI app to link your RuPay Credit Card.
• Always set up a different UPI PIN to authenticate Credit Card transactions on UPI, at the time of linking your credit card on UPI.
• Make payment only to merchants QR Codes, e-comm merchant using CC on UPI.
• Setup UPI Autopay to make payments of your Credit Card bills on time.
• Always keep your mobile number updated with your Credit Card issuing bank, for you to link your RuPay Credit Card on UPI.
• Do check your available balance and outstanding amount on UPI app before initiating any merchant payment.

Don’ts

• Don’t share your UPI PIN with anyone.
• Don’t keep your CC on UPI PIN and your Saving Banks account UPI PIN & Card Pin same.
• Don’t share the OTP with anyone which you receive during the registration process.
• Don’t breach the credit limit assigned by your issuer on UPI while making payment to merchants.
• Don’t make payments using RuPay Credit Card on UPI for categories such as Person to Person, digital account opening, lending platform, cash withdrawal at merchant, cash withdrawal at ATM, Card to Card payment, ERUPI, IPO, Foreign Inward Remittances, Mutual Funds, and any other categories as restricted by the issuing bank / RBI from time to time.
